For Star Wars fans, there’s nothing that can quite compare to stepping into Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland. This Star Wars-themed land is designed to make guests feel like they’ve been transported to a galaxy far, far away. In fact, this land is based on a new planet called Batuu.
Here are the top 10 things to do on your next visit out of this world:
Try the Blue or Green MilkÂ
Admit it – you’ve always been curious about what the blue milk Luke Skywalker drinks in episode IV tastes like. They say that dreams come true at Disneyland! Blue Milk is available at the Milk Stand in the Black Spire Outpost or with a vanilla cookie side at Oga’s Cantina.
Run Into Storm Troopers
You never know who you’ll run into on Batuu. Storm Troopers patrol the area looking for signs of the resistance, while Chewbacca has been known to hang out on the terrace overlooking the Millenium Falcon.
Become a Sympathizer on Rise of the Resistance
Disneyland’s newest ride may just be the best one yet. The Rise of the Resistance is a trackless journey through the belly of Kylo Ren’s Star Destroyer.
There is no Fastpass or standby line for this attraction for now. Guests can join a virtual queue using the Disneyland app and get assigned to a boarding group. The queue becomes available at the park’s scheduled opening time. The ride is so hugely popular that boarding groups are filling up just minutes after the queue opens, and you need to be in the park to join a group.
Build a Droid
Build your own working BB or R-series droid at the Droid Depot! Your completely customizable droid will be paired to a remote control so you can take him on walks or trips across the galaxy. You can also add a personality chip to your droid. Choose between a First Order, a Resistance, or a Smuggler chip. Your droid will respond accordingly when you’re in the park!
Snack on Colorful Popcorn at Kat Saka’s Kettle
This snack mix is a little sweet and a little salty. I personally think it tastes like fruity pebbles, while other people have said their popcorn has a spicy head to it. This is the perfect snack for meandering around Batuu!
Sip on a Fuzzy Tauntaun or Bloody Rancor at Oga’s Cantina
Make your reservations at Oga’s Cantina ahead of time and step into a beautifully themed bar that will make you watch out for Han Solo/Greedo shootouts! There are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Taste a Drink from Another Galaxy
Coke and Sprite bottles look a little different on Batuu. Designed to look like thermal detonators, these bottles were specially designed for Galaxy’s Edge at Disney.
Snack on a Ronto Wrap
When you see the pod racer engine cooking meat on a gigantic spit, you’ve found Ronto Roasters! The super popular Ronto Wrap is roasted pork, sausage, and peppercorn sauce in a pita. There are also breakfast wraps and a plant-based wraps available.
Shop at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
Find the perfect gift at Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. Stock up on Intergalactic threads or pick up your own Sith Wayfinder – every nook and cranny is filled with treasures.
Adopt a Galactic Pet
Stop by the Creature Stall across from Kat Saka’s Kettle to adopt a furry friend from the Star Wars Saga. Whether you’re more of a porg or a hutt fan, you’ll find the perfect cuddly critter to take home.
Can’t get enough Star Wars? Extend your stay at Galaxy’s Edge and check in to the Disneyland Hotel!
I love this! We built a droid the last time we were there and had so much fun! Our teens loved Ogas Cantina and I really enjoyed the drinks! Im still waiting to go back and ride The Rise Of The Resistance, i hope its as much fun as Smugglers Run!
You are going to love Rise of the Resistance! I hope you’re able to come back to Disneyland soon. : )
