Interacting with the characters is what they’re there for! Ask them about their movies, what their plans are, their favorite ride in the park – anything. They’ll be glad to answer them for you.

Instead of the standard stand-and-smile, ask a character to something silly. They love mixing it up for a unique and fun photo!
Tip 3: Ask a Princess How to do the Perfect Pose
Princesses spend lots of time perfecting their poses, so ask them to teach you how to do it! This is such a special moment to capture and ends up being a more interesting photo.
Tip 4: Understand That Everyone Looks Silly
If you’re standing next to a five-foot mouse in trousers, guess what? You’re gonna look silly. Instead of being embarrassed, just get into it! The sillier you are, the better your pictures will turn out. Would you rather have a picture of you looking uncomfortable, or you having fun?

Disney Rewards cardholders get special perks in the park – including a private meet-and-greet open only to card holders! This means very little time waiting in line and more often than not you’ll get to meet two characters instead of one!
Tip 6: Use PhotoPass
Disney’s photopass system is an add-on, but totally worth it. Cast members will link the pictures they take during your meet & greets to your MyDisneyExperience account, so you can see all your pictures at once! They’re paid to take photos, so they will be good quality.
Tip 7: Try a Character Meal
Avoiding lines? Delicious food? Having the characters come to YOU? Yes, please! Book a character dining experience and have the characters come right to your table and pose for all the pictures you want. If you go at off times when the restaurants are less busy, you may get even more face time with your favorite furry friends.
