Viva Las Vegas! If you’re here for a conference, bachelorette party, or just for a weekend getaway, there is an ever-changing lineup of events, restaurants, and shows to keep you entertained from wheels down to takeoff. Here is the official Home and A Broad guide to Sin City:
Where to Stay
AffordableÂ
AirBnB
Stay right off the strip at one of Vegas’ many AirBnBs for as low as $29 per night!
Mid-Range
Planet Hollywood
Looking for a fabulous hotel at an affordable price? I love Planet Hollywood because it is centrally located, beautifully themed, and offers tons of food, gambling, and shows right in house.Â
Luxury
Bellagio
Is there a more iconic hotel than the Bellagio? Home of the dancing fountains and one of the largest hotels in the world, the Bellagio is an elegant European-style hotel right in the center of the strip.
Where to Eat
With so many restaurants on the strip alone, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find something you love. Here are some of my favorite spots on the strip.
Mon Ami Gabi
Mon Ami Gabi offers delicious French food with front-row views of the Bellagio dancing fountains.
The Buffet at Bellagio
Not a buffet person? In Vegas, you will be. The buffet as Bellagio is delicious and offers international cuisines (and bottomless mimosas).
What to Do
Pool Parties
Visiting Vegas during the warmer months? You’ll probably go straight from boozy brunch to a daytime pool party like the Daylight Beach Club at Mandalay Bay or the Encore Beach Club.
Nightlife & Bars
The Chandelier The Chandelier is a three story bar in the Cosmopolitan hotel that makes you feel as though you are sipping a cocktail inside of a giant glittering chandelier, Beauty and the Beast style. PRO TIP: You have to try the famous verbena cocktail which includes an edible flower that numbs your mouth and activates your salivary glands, making you a “super taster”!
XS Nightclub XS is one of Vegas’ hottest nightclubs. With an indoor/outdoor dance floor and huge artists, you can’t have a bad time here.
Minus 5 Ice I’m such a sucker for a bar with a cool theme – I’d say one made of ice fits in that category? There are a few Minus 5 Ice bars around the US, but sticking one right in the middle of the Nevada desert is amazing. They’ll provide the coat & gloves, so prepare to get cold! Â
Gamble
What’s a trip to Las Vegas without a little gambling? Most hotels have casinos where you can drop a few bucks and maybe make a few more in return. PRO TIP: Get your cash before you hit the casinos as ATM fees can be crazy – upwards of $10.
Shows
Friends! A Musical Parody Do you have very strong feelings about whether or not Ross and Rachel were on a break? If so, you’ll love Friends! A Musical Parody at the D Las Vegas.
Magic Shows I am unapologetically a magic lover (yes, I’m single, why do you ask?) and magic shows run rampant down the strip. Criss Angel’s show Mindfreak is currently at Planet Hollywood
Concerts Huge artists like Celine Dion, The Backstreet Boys, and Lady Gaga are currently in residency at Las Vegas. I’d recommend getting tickets ahead of time so you get the best seats and can plan your evening around the show! Rides & Games Take a ride on the 550ft High Roller ferris wheel (you can drink onboard in small rooms!) or hop on a thrill ride at the Adventuredome. Who wouldn’t want to stay at a hotel that includes roller coasters?
Shopping
Miracle Mile Shops Located at Planet Hollywood, there are over 170 stores at the Miracle Mile Shops. Take a break from shopping to experience the entertainment like a hypnosis show or zombie burlesque. The Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace Luxury shopping, food, and the Atlantis Aquarium are all located along the streets of ancient Rome at the Forum Shops Caesar’s Palace hotel. Las Vegas North Premium Outlets Shop tons of brands at rock bottom prices at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. Start you vacation right with a flight upgrade!
